Astoria,
the
oldest
cruise
ship
in
the
World
(2018),
was
docked
again
in
Antwerp
in
2017
after
59
years.
In
1958
the
ship
visited
the
city
for
the
first
time
as
MS
Stockholm
for
Swedish
America
Line.
Normally
a
cruise
ship
is
taken
out
of
service
around
the
age
of
40.
MS
Astoria
is
already
sailing
almost
30
years
longer.
But
throughout
the
years
the
ship
has
been
completely
rebuilt
and
only
the
hull
is
still
original
from
1948.
As
MS
Stockholm
the
ship
became
famous
after
her
collision
with
MS
Andrea
Doria
in 1956. This resulted in the other ship sinking and 51 deaths.
